Beacon Santa has been in existence for more than 40 years, but all of our readers haven’t. According to the social networking site, Facebook has more than 300 million active users — half of whom log on in any given day. Many nonprofits have pages on Facebook to better connect with people who are already using the service, giving them another outlet to find out about events, news and how to donate.
